From 1975 to 1994, Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen transformed from a promising musician into a rock 'n' roll icon and Academy Award winner, leaving an indelible mark on American music. Born in Freehold, New Jersey, Springsteen finally broke the US top 10 with his 1975 album "Born to Run." With its anthemic title track and tales of working-class struggles, the record catapulted him to fame. His lyrics and his famed four-hour live performances earned him the nickname "The Boss," a title he still carries with pride.

Throughout the late '70s and early '80s, Springsteen and the E Street Band continued to churn out classics like "Thunder Road," "Hungry Heart," and the award-winning "Dancing in the Dark." His songs often spoke to the blue-collar experience and the American dream.

In 1984, 30 million-selling "Born in the USA" brought Springsteen global acclaim. The album's title track and its music video became cultural touchstones. His music continued to evolve over the years, exploring themes of love, loss, and personal introspection.

The '90s saw Springsteen awarded an Oscar for “The Streets of Philadelphia”, a song that would also go on to win 4 Grammys. These decades showcased Springsteen's enduring influence and his ability to connect with generations, solidifying his status as a musical legend.

Portraits of Bruce -  is a photographic celebration of Bruce Springsteen published as a brand new, coffee table photo book tracing his career with a mixture of well known, rare and unseen photographs from some of rock’s greatest photographers.
